 Our clients benefited from Don’s excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in crafting analytical solutions.  His foundation always started with a clear understanding of the business problem which our clients were trying to achieve.  His discovery process is sometimes iterative as the initial discussion with the client sometimes leads to the real issue the client is needing to solve.  Once the objectives are clear, he communicates and allocate the proper resources from his analytical team.  I always found he and the analytical team he managed communicates the status of their efforts with me and other stakeholders as well as ask questions which might come up when insight or new information was introduced in the project.  Don made sure that he and his team never did projects in a vacuum.  He advocated and practiced a continuous learning culture.  The results of his and the team he managed efforts were always consistent.  I have always found his logit and regression models were highly predictive and extremely stable.  In fact, for most models that Don created for me, I have yet to see degradation.  His presentations and review of the analytical solution were user friendly targeted to his audience whether it was a general manager or analytical department head.

Not only did he and his team produce innovated analytical solutions that exceeded our clients’ objectives, but he also was directly responsible for the maintenance and growth of the agency’s compiled database.  He negotiated favorable terms with suppliers and added financial, health and lifecycle trigger data content to the agency’s compiled database.  This new data content directly resulted in increasing our client’s revenue and customer retention and added additional high margin revenue for our agency.
